Super First Tuesday: 52 chapters, 20 countries
Alumni, students and prospective students from 52 chapters in 20 countries attended the sixth annual Super First Tuesday in March 2013.
Chapter leader Tina Huesing ’96 said the gathering in Munich, Germany, served as a homecoming for one alumna who left the country in 2012 to spend time in Italy and Japan before moving to Scotland. “She shared how she had attended First Tuesdays in various countries already and how enjoyable that always is,” Huesing said. Overall, the Munich event attracted 14 alumni and their guests, including David Tsipenyuk, an Executive Education associate director at Thunderbird Geneva.
Another event drew about 50 guests at the One America Tower in downtown San Diego, California. Fernando Gaxiola ’07 said at least one prospective student and one current student joined the fun, which included music from guitarist David de Alva.
Chapter leader Gayle Jacobs ’03 said Super First Tuesday guests dined on sushi in West Michigan. Alumni in Hong Kong met on the 49th Floor and terrace of the American Club. And alumni in Bogotá, Colombia, shared drinks at a networking event. “As always it was a good time and good company,” Bogotá chapter leader David Castro ’11 wrote on the group’s Facebook page.
