Thunderbird launches modules in Spain, Malaysia
Thunderbird will offer modules abroad in two new locations during the spring 2014 trimester. Full-time MBA students will study with Thunderbird faculty on the outskirts of Madrid, Spain, from Jan. 27 to March 7, followed by a second six-week module that will start March 24 in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Thunderbird tapped into the global network of its planned partner, Laureate Education, Inc., to identify attractive host campuses for the modules. The first group of 34 Thunderbird students will use classroom space at Universidad Europa de Madrid, and the second group of 40 Thunderbird students will use classroom space at INTI International College. In the recent past, Thunderbird has leased commercial space in China, Peru and the Czech Republic for its modules abroad.
Although the new modules take advantage of facilities at Laureate partner schools, Thunderbird faculty continue to teach Thunderbird curriculum. Professors in Spain will include Kishore Dash, Ph.D., and Pree Sainam, Ph.D. Meanwhile, professors in Malaysia will include Michael Finney, Ph.D., Nathan Washburn, Ph.D., Lauranne Buchanan, Ph.D., and Janet Samuels, Ph.D.
